The Academy of Dentistry International - Republic of the Philippines Section ADI Philippines successfully held its 1st Quarterly Meeting last Saturday, March 7, at the Unilab Bayanihan Center. It was an afternoon dedicated to the pursuit of excellence, scientific advancement, and the honoring of dental leadership.
Scientific Highlights:
We were privileged to hear from two of our esteemed Active Members, who shared their cutting-edge research and clinical insights:
• Dr. Regine Stelle S. Rodriguez presented her fascinating work on the "Characterization of Eggshell Derived Hydroxyapatite and its Biocompatibility in Oryctolagus Cuniculus."
• Dr. Marie Gertrude L. Tuscano provided a deep dive into clinical excellence with her lecture on "The Hybrid Layer in Composite Restorations."
A Historic Achievement:
The highlight of the event was a truly historic moment for our Philippines section.
Master Life Fellow Ermelinda S. Galang delivered her capstone lecture, completing the rigorous requirements for her prestigious title.
This is no small feat—Dr. Galang is one of only four individuals to have earned and been conferred the title of Master Life Fellow in the nearly five-decade history of ADI Philippines. Her dedication to the profession serves as an inspiration to us all.
