The ADI-RP Section is an organization of incumbent and former members of the facuty af accredited and reputable dental schools in the Philippines. Its mother organization is the Academy of Dentistry lnternational, which was incorparated in the State of Calfornia, USA on October 17, 1974. The
ADI-RP Section was chartered and recognized on February 10, 1977. Its charter fellows inchade Dr. Rufino N. Achacoso, Dr. Corazon J. Atienza, Dr. Blanche C Barbers, Dr. Jose V. Francisco, Dr. Francisco M. Herbosa, Dr. Luz C. Macapanpan, Dr. Avelino A. Macasaet, Dr. Juan E. Quejada Jr., Dr. Ernesto R. Vizcarra, and Dr. Edith N. Zagala, proudly called "The Eleven in Seventy-Seven." The Academy was incorporated on May 13, 2008.
OBJECTIVES
The ADI RP SECTION is devoted to the continuing growth, development and progress of dentistry and the improvement of the oral health of the Filipino people through the promotion of quality dental education, continuing education, research, faculty development, values formation, and the ethical and moral practice of the dental profession.
ORGANIZATION
The Board of Trustees is the governing body that sets policies and plans for the organization. It is elected by the fellows and is composed of the president, president-elect, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, auditor, public relations officer, and four directors, one of whom is the immediate past president. An international regent and vice-regent, who have served as past president, are elected by the Board of Trustees.
